Board Meeting August 20th, 7-9 PM Location TBD

Hello neighbors,

The City of Boise has embarked on a process to reimagine its Modern Zoning Code as an illustrated guide. This document will act as a brief interpretive guide, designed to help residents, developers, and educators understand what, why, and how zoning impacts the design of our city.  Making our new zoning code more accessible will allow more people to participate in planning processes. Visit www.cityofboise.org/zoning-code-rewrite to learn more about the Modern Zoning Code.

We’ve partnered with design and storytelling firm, All Together, to help bring this illustrated guide to life. As they get to work developing a structure and narrative for the guide, we need your help identifying which parts of the zoning process need to be most easily understood and help give flavor and local character to the guide to ensure it feels authentic to Boise.

Click here to RSVP for an in-person discussion on Tuesday, July 23 or Wednesday, July 24. If you’d prefer to attend a virtual discussion on Tuesday, July 30 at 9 am (MDT), reply to lwalker@cityofboise.org with that preference. Based on your availability, we will send a calendar invitation with more details next week.

Meetings will take place at the Library! At Hillcrest during the following times:

Tuesday, July 23 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Wednesday, July 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Wednesday, July 24 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Wednesday, July 24 @ 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm

Virtual meetings will take place during the following times

Tuesday, July 30 @ 9 am - 9:50 am

We promise to keep these discussions engaging and brief, and value your input to create a document to serve our community for years to come.

Please share out through your membership network and reach out to Lena Walker at lwalker@cityofboise.org with any questions. Thank you for your time!
