28 Jan St. Luke’s Construction Update
Hello, neighbors!
Last year, St. Luke’s completed construction on a new, more efficient Central Utility Plant next to the Boise Medical Center. That completion now allows construction crews to begin removing the former Central Utility Plant on Jefferson Street, between 1st Street and Ave. B. Starting in February, crews will first remove various equipment and salvage appropriate materials from the outdated plant. They will then work to demolish it before filling in the remaining hole and creating a gravel surface area. This effort is expected to be complete by late spring, if not sooner. Construction officials do not anticipate any road closures during this process. There will likely be increased truck traffic and intermittent closures of sidewalks in the area. Work is expected to take place during weekdays and daytime hours.
Have a nice weekend,
Daniel
