Short Term Rental Hearing before City Council Tuesday Jan 11th at 6:00pm

Hello East End Neighbors,

The Boise City Council is having a hearing tomorrow night regarding Short Term Rentals in Boise.  Mayor McClean is proposing a new ordinance to require a license for short term rentals.  EENA has not taken a position on this issue, at this time, because the board was split and the neighbors that we did hear from were also split.  If you have a strong feeling on this issue, you are encouraged to attend the hearing at City Hall or attend via Zoom tomorrow night at 6:00.  If you wish to provide testimony, you need to get there a few minutes early to sign up.  It’s a good idea to have your thoughts written down in order of priority because you will only have three minutes to speak.  You can still provide testimony if attending via Zoom.  They will ask if there is anyone wanting to provide testimony after those that attended in person have spoken.

Click here to see an article from the Boise Dev, in the article they provide the link for the hearing via Zoom.

Sincerely,

Sheila Grisham
