19 Oct St. Luke’s Generator Testing
Officials will be testing newly installed generators as part of the construction project at the St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center.
Following federal requirements, we are required to test and commission these generators before putting them into official use. In order to reduce the potential impact of fumes into the nearby medical office buildings, we will be conducting the generator testing after hours.
The first generator test will begin tonight, Monday, Oct. 19, starting at 5 p.m. and will run intermittently until midnight. The daily testing and commissioning process is expected to last two weeks.
After commissioning, these generators will be operating under emergency use only. Residents nearby may notice intermittent generator noise and/or fumes during this testing period.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Thank you.
