28 Jan Greenbelt Construction Update
Boise Parks and Recreation is going to begin work this week to replace two sandy beaches at river access points near your residence or business office. This work will affect Greenbelt access for a short time and detours will be signed when available. The goal of this project is to reduce and prevent further erosion at the Tozer and Falcon access points along the river. During historic flooding along the Boise River in 2017, high river flows washed away the sandy beaches at both access points. To prevent this from happening in the future, construction crews will be installing stone steps in both locations. In addition, ADA access will be incorporated into the Tozer access point. This construction should be completed by April 2019. If you have any questions about this project, please email BPR@cityofboise.org and a project manager will be in touch with you. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve these access points for all users.
